Theo Tigno is a Catholic singer / songwriter who wasn't raised in the Church. He came to know the faith through the teen program at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waipahu, Hawaii. After graduating, he attended the All Saints Catholic Newman Center in Tempe, Arizona when he moved to get his degree in Visual Communications.

While the Newman Center, he participated in many ministries, including RCIA. In a way to help keep the man he was sponsoring actively coming back to Mass, he suggested that the both of the join the Sunday evening choir. It was through participating in this ministry that he learned more about music.

He chose to start writing music shortly after the death of Rich Mullins. Inspired by Mullins' lyrics, Theo started to write lyrics himself. It was a practice that grew when he became a staff member at Maggie's Place.

Since his time at the Newman Center, he has been a part of many music ministries in the Diocese of Phoenix.

Daily Bible Reflections
Staring in 1995, the daily scriptures are sent via email with a brief reflection on the reading. Through God's grace, a collection of thoughts will be self-published in the spring of 2012 called "Ordinary Thoughts in Ordinary Time".

Treative Development
I have been in the web design industry since 1996, and since then has done work for large corporations to small businesses to non-profit organizations. My recent work includes a new website for Catholic singer/songwriter Danielle Rose and Morning Star OB/GYN (more coming in the next few months).

Built My Dad a Guitar ...
I took a guitar building class from the Phoenix Guitar Company and I built a guitar for my dad. I took another class and built a guitar for myself to commemorate 10 years of Maggie's Place, which is also 10 years of me playing guitar.

The Polk Street Band
I was part of the formation of an acoustic band in which we performed original pieces mainly written by me. You can find the album on CD Baby.

Soundcloud
I uploaded some recordings to Soundcloud. I preferred this because if you're browsing on a mobile device, it still give you the option to play the songs. Included on the uploaded songs is the Mass of the Immaculate Conception, composed in February 2011. You can also hear a song (see Lead) I wrote back in the late 90's, when I could only play the bass.

Theo Tigno has worked in the Web and interactive industry since 1996. His first interactive job was with Interactive Sites, where he also learned audio recording and mixing. Before then, he managed an art department for a high-volume direct mail publishing company.
